How Bid to Care Works

Whether it's a live event or an online silent auction, we make it easy for nonprofits to raise money in a way people actually enjoy.

1

Nonprofits List Items

A food bank or charity lists donated goods, experiences, and prizes — provided by them or sourced through Bid to Care.

2

Supporters Place Bids

People bid online from anywhere, or in-person at a live event. They get something they want while giving to a cause they love.

3

Everybody Wins

Winners take home their items, and every dollar raised goes to work in the community. Fundraising that feels good.

The People Behind Bid to Care

Bid to Care isn't a faceless platform. It was built by two people who saw the need with their own eyes — and decided to do something about it.

Ivan DeLeon
Ivan DeLeon
Co-Founder

Ivan is an entrepreneur and brand builder with a passion for helping others succeed. After years in business, he learned one simple truth: people give more freely when they get something in return. He created Bid to Care to turn that instinct into a real fundraising engine — giving nonprofits and food banks a modern, dignified way to raise the funds their communities depend on.

Debbie Ables
Debbie Ables
Co-Founder

Debbie brings warmth, heart, and a deep commitment to community service to everything she does. Her years of hands-on work serving families in need gave her a firsthand understanding of what local organizations are up against. She partners with Ivan to make sure Bid to Care always stays true to its purpose: putting people and causes first, one bid at a time.

💕

Ivan and Debbie met while working together at a food pantry — and it was there, side by side with the families they served, that the idea for Bid to Care was born.

Why We Built This

It started at a food pantry.

While working together at a local food pantry, Ivan and Debbie saw the real needs of the community — and how much these organizations mean to the families who depend on them. They also saw that food banks and nonprofits were struggling, needing donations at a time when giving is harder than ever.

From years in business, they knew one thing to be true: people are much more willing to spend when they get something for their money. Bid to Care was born from that simple, powerful idea — and from a friendship forged in service.

“Every nonprofit deserves the chance to raise funds in non-traditional ways. That's our passion — giving them a tool that turns generosity into real impact.” — Ivan & Debbie, Founders of Bid to Care
